OFX, a global money transfer and foreign exchange company in Australia, needed to better serve its growing B2B customer base with more secure, scalable digital services. Its earlier consumer-style approach to corporate onboarding and payments no longer met business customers’ needs, so OFX turned to Google Cloud Platform and the Apigee API Management Platform to modernize its API strategy.

Google Cloud Platform helped OFX build and launch secure APIs and a developer portal for products like the Global Currency Account API, International Payments API, and Rates API. The result was faster time to market, stronger traffic and access control, and easier partner onboarding; OFX added more than 200 developers to its platform in under 16 months while supporting more secure, scalable customer payments and access to market-leading exchange rates.
