Network Rail High Speed delivering a safe, reliable, efficient high-speed railway

Network Rail High Speed operates the HS1 route between London and the Eurotunnel terminal and maintains more than 12,000 civil engineering assets such as bridges, tunnels and drainage. The organisation relied on spreadsheets, databases and disparate systems to catalog asset information, leaving engineers unable to quickly find the precise details needed to plan and respond to damage.

Snowdrop Solutions built the NRHS Route Model using the Google Maps JavaScript API to layer assets on an interactive map, add search/zoom controls, and surface drawings, inspection reports, hazards and Street View imagery at each location. The solution gives a comprehensive view of the route, helps engineers create repair plans and dispatch technicians faster and more safely, and supports more efficient asset management and operations.
