Natura Revolutionizes Test Project for its Products with Google Cloud

Natura, a Brazilian sustainable cosmetics company, needed a way to scale its essential product-testing process faster and more efficiently as demand grew. Working with Google Cloud Platform and services including Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, Cloud Interconnect, Kubernetes Engine, and Cloud SQL, Natura moved its testing environment to the cloud to improve flexibility, performance, and cost control.

Google Cloud Platform helped Natura build a virtual biotechnology model for testing active ingredients, with algorithms running on GKE and data centralized in a cloud-based Bio-Lake. As a result, tests that once took days now take hours, one example dropped from 48 hours to 13, time-to-market improved by one third from 1 year to 8 months, and the project used only 10% of the expected investment while enabling a much larger testing volume.
