A Google Cloud Platform Case Study
Multiplay, a UK-based gaming services company and subsidiary of GAME Digital, provides game-server hosting, multiplayer event services and e-sports support for major franchises. Faced with the unpredictable, worldwide launch of Titanfall 2 and millions of users demanding low-latency, high-performance gameplay, Multiplay needed a platform that could reliably scale, minimize latency and keep costs under control.
Multiplay implemented a hybrid cloud combining its bare‑metal infrastructure with Google Cloud Platform (Google Compute Engine) for burst capacity. The solution delivered faster Windows VM provisioning, automatic scaling for demand spikes, low-latency networking and easy traffic failover, enabling a smooth global Titanfall 2 launch, consistently high player performance, reduced operational effort and more efficient data-center spending.
