A Google Cloud Platform Case Study
Moloco is a Palo Alto ad‑tech company that helps mobile app developers monetize by programmatically bidding across multiple ad exchanges and tapping into about 50 billion daily impressions. As Moloco grew it needed infrastructure to run ML-driven real-time pricing and prediction models within 100 ms, handle hundreds of thousands of bid requests per second, and replace a costly, slow cloud setup.
By migrating to Google Cloud Platform (Kubernetes Engine, Cloud Bigtable, BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Dataflow), Moloco processes tens of terabytes a day, updates models for real-time bidding, and serves more than 550,000 bid requests per second. The move cut query times from minutes to about 10 seconds, improved campaign effectiveness, and increased customer satisfaction and revenue.
