Moderna uses the right dose of data to boost discovery

Moderna, a biotechnology company, needed a better way to unify siloed clinical trial and research data spread across multiple systems and external sources. Working with Google Cloud Platform and its Looker product, Moderna wanted to replace time-consuming Excel-based processes with a more complete, real-time view to improve trial execution, collaboration, and decision-making.

Google Cloud Platform implemented Looker to centralize data access, reporting, and visualizations across clinical, demographic, and epidemiological datasets. As a result, Moderna improved scientific efficiency and collaboration, reduced manual reporting errors, and gained the ability to make real-time decisions; it also created dashboards that helped track and increase diversity in clinical trials and optimize operations to reduce costs and meet budget goals.
