Military Bank Turns to Apigee to manage its API strategy and deliver digital transformation

Military Bank, one of Vietnam’s top five commercial banks, wanted to accelerate its digital transformation and move beyond a limited ESB-based API approach. The bank needed a scalable way to expose services to partners, monitor API usage, improve governance, and support new digital banking offerings. Google Cloud Platform’s Apigee API management product was selected to help meet those goals.

Using Google Cloud Platform and Apigee, Military Bank implemented a secure, scalable API program with a developer portal, sandbox testing, and API monitoring and policy controls. The rollout was completed in four months with Softline, reducing partner integration time by 50%, exposing 50 APIs, and enabling two applications so far. Military Bank also plans to move 200 APIs and 20 applications to Google Cloud Platform.
