Metrópoles focuses on technology to improve performance and cut costs with Google Cloud

Metrópoles, a major Brazilian news portal, needed greater stability, user experience, data security, and lower costs as its audience and infrastructure demands grew. To meet these goals, it chose Google Cloud Platform, using products such as Google Cloud, Compute Engine, Cloud Load Balancing, Cloud SQL, Cloud Storage, and Cloud Functions with support from Qi Network.

Google Cloud Platform helped Metrópoles migrate to the cloud in less than two months and modernize its infrastructure with better traffic balancing, scalable virtual machines, and automated operations. The results included loading times dropping from nine to five seconds, virtual machines shrinking from seven to three, and 30% lower hosting costs, while also improving agility, security, and overall performance.
