Case Study: Mesquite ISD achieves personalized learning with Google Cloud Platform

Mesquite ISD helps students connect their passions to future success

Mesquite ISD, a Texas school district serving nearly 39,000 students, wanted to move beyond standardized education and better match each student’s passions, aptitudes, and learning needs. To do that, the district worked with Google Cloud Platform, using Google Cloud and BigQuery to build AYO, a data warehouse designed to help educators create personalized learning pathways.

Google Cloud Platform, in partnership with SoftServe, helped Mesquite ISD design and launch AYO with a data-driven, user-friendly approach that can analyze structured and unstructured information from multiple sources. The platform now supports holistic student profiles and teaching recommendations, scales to serve about 2,000 faculty, students, and staff daily, and had already drawn opt-ins from parents of 2,400 students as it moved toward full operation.
