MEDITECH, a healthcare EHR provider, wanted to modernize its legacy server hardware and improve secure access, collaboration, and speed of delivery for clinicians and customers. As its infrastructure costs and storage needs grew, MEDITECH looked to Google Cloud Platform and Google Cloud-based services to support a more flexible, compliant cloud-native environment.

Google Cloud Platform helped MEDITECH migrate more than 2,000 VMs from on-premises servers to the cloud on time and under budget, while also enabling Google Cloud Storage, better monitoring, and easier third-party integrations. The move reduced spending on onsite server housing and maintenance by thousands of dollars, accelerated development, improved reliability, and supported new offerings like the MEDITECH Cloud Platform and mobile physician tools.
