Maxeda DIY Group, a home improvement retailer, was on a digital transformation journey to use data more effectively and keep pace with changing customer expectations. When its legacy infrastructure contract expired, it needed a more flexible, scalable way to run its SAP environments and get faster business insights, so it chose Google Cloud Platform for its SAP-centered environment.

With support from Capgemini, Maxeda migrated its on-premises SAP S/4HANA systems to Google Cloud Platform, creating a centralized cloud setup for real-time analytics and reporting. The move positioned Maxeda to better understand customers, products, stores, and services in one view, and helped it respond more quickly to shifting buying patterns and market changes.
