Mattex Supporting transparent and efficient construction material procurement through the cloud

Mattex, a Hong Kong construction-services subsidiary of Asia Allied Infrastructure, wanted to modernize a traditionally paper-based procurement process and make construction material purchasing more transparent and efficient. To build its eMat online procurement and management platform, Mattex chose Google Cloud Platform to support scalability, reliability, and future digital expansion.

Using Google Cloud Platform services including Google Kubernetes Engine, Cloud SQL, and Cloud Storage, Mattex deployed microservices, automated backups, and faster feature development. The platform scaled from 4 projects to more than 300 projects and over 1,000 daily active users, with user growth peaking at 6X in one month. Google Cloud Platform also helped Mattex cut procurement time by one third, release features in under an hour, and halve development time for some features.
