Marketing Applications, a Japan-based holding company serving more than 200 clients in the marketing research industry, needed to move its aging on-premises survey and aggregation platform to the cloud to reduce rising operational burden, improve scalability, and ease infrastructure maintenance. The company chose Google Cloud Platform, using services including Migrate to Virtual Machines, Google Kubernetes Engine, Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, and Filestore.

Google Cloud Platform helped Marketing Applications migrate the platform in three phases, with MApps for Survey containerized on GKE and other server functions lifted to Google Cloud. With support from Google PSO, the company completed a large-scale migration with a small team in about two months, improved automatic scaling and cost flexibility, and reduced anxiety about capacity and operations.
