Case Study: Corab achieves smarter solar energy optimization with Looker

Managing solar energy usage with unified consumer data

Corab, a Polish manufacturer and distributor of photovoltaic systems, needed a way to help end customers use their solar installations more efficiently while also gaining visibility into system performance and customer behavior. To solve this, Corab launched the Corab One app, built on Looker’s vendor context here is Google Cloud with BigQuery, and designed by Deloitte, to collect and analyze PV data from installations across its network.

Looker, in this case represented by the analytics capabilities used through BigQuery, helped Corab centralize data from inverters and other sources so users could optimize energy consumption, reduce costs, and lower emissions. The solution also let Corab monitor 20 system parameters every five minutes to diagnose faults faster, and it gave the company its first detailed consumer data for segmentation, personalization, and targeted upsell/cross-sell campaigns.
