Maisons Du Monde, the European home décor and furniture retailer, needed a more scalable, real-time omnichannel infrastructure to support 369 stores, multiple ecommerce sites, and faster, more personalized customer experiences. Its legacy systems relied on slow nightly batch updates and static reports, which made it difficult to keep stock, sales, and customer data current across channels. Google Cloud Platform, including BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, and Google Kubernetes Engine, was used to modernize its data and IT environment.

With Google Cloud Platform, Maisons Du Monde created a unified architecture with real-time data flows, autoscaling ecommerce infrastructure, and a single customer view across digital and physical touchpoints. The result was stable website performance even at 10x normal traffic, faster order processing that dropped from up to nine hours to minutes, improved replenishment and stock visibility, and a marketplace launch that added more than 25,000 products from 200+ external brands.
