MADSACK Media Group, a German media company with 19 regional daily newspapers and the RND publishing network, needed a more scalable way to handle rapidly growing data from digital operations. Its existing data platform and BI tools were struggling with performance and scale, so the company turned to Google Cloud Platform, including BigQuery, to build a unified data solution.

Google Cloud Platform implemented a BigQuery-based data warehouse, with Cloud Functions, Cloud Composer, Looker Studio, and Looker supporting ingestion, orchestration, and reporting. The result was a faster, more stable analytics environment that unified data for 15 regional newspapers and other subsidiaries, reduced support calls from 3–4 per day to 1–2 per week, and enabled quicker, more accurate insights to improve decision-making and subscriber experiences.
