A Google Cloud Platform Case Study
Madison + Fifth, a Columbus-based digital brand and marketing agency, was hired by Liberty Center, a retail center outside Cincinnati, to replace a standard kiosk and printed directory with an accessible, intuitive wayfinding experience for visitors. The challenge was to create a single solution that worked on large touchscreen kiosks and on shoppers' smartphones without requiring downloads, while giving accurate, location-aware directions across a multi-venue property.
Madison + Fifth built a responsive Web app powered by Google Maps Platform that detects visitors' locations and delivers interactive, real-time walking directions, zoomable property maps, and layered custom information. The system—covering 80+ shops, restaurants, and services—scales from kiosk to mobile, reduces time spent navigating the center, encourages more in-store and dining visits, and provides a platform for adding features like location-based ads.
