A Google Cloud Platform Case Study
Lytics is a Portland-based “smart” customer data platform that unifies marketing data to enable personalized, contextual one-to-one experiences at scale. As data volumes and warehouses grew, the company faced rising cloud hosting costs, latency and performance bottlenecks, and increasing operational complexity that threatened scalability and time to market.
Moving to Google Cloud—adopting Bigtable, Pub/Sub, BigQuery and Google security tools—allowed Lytics to cut monthly infrastructure costs by 70%, boost data streaming up to 10x and database performance about 4x, and grow revenue 6x in a year without adding operations headcount, while gaining improved security, customer-accessible analytics and faster innovation.
