Loveholidays Streamlining travel planning at scale with Google Cloud

loveholidays, an online travel company, was looking to future-proof its stack and simplify scalability as Google Cloud Platform began shifting services like BigQuery and Spanner to its custom-designed Axion processors. Although performance was already strong, the team saw Axion as a major platform shift and wanted to evaluate whether it could deliver even better speed and efficiency.

With support from Google Cloud Platform product and engineering teams, loveholidays joined the private preview of Axion and migrated an application early. The results were immediate: latency dropped by one-third, CPU core usage fell by up to 60%, and site performance doubled, helping improve the user experience and potential conversions while cutting CPU costs.
