A Google Cloud Platform Case Study
Logflare is a UK-based cybersecurity startup (founded 2015) that provides affordable digital-asset protection to enterprises and SMBs through log monitoring, threat analysis and real-time insights. As its platform and data volumes grew — and with tightening regulations like GDPR and strict data‑residency requirements — Logflare reached the limits of its existing infrastructure and needed a fully scalable, programmable, cost‑effective solution that could handle very high IOPS workloads and simplify compliance.
Logflare trialed and migrated to Google Cloud Platform in a single afternoon, using Compute Engine with SSDs for high IOPS, Stackdriver for out‑of‑the‑box management, and Google APIs (Charts, Safe Browsing, Maps) for added features. GCP’s REST APIs and automation made provisioning and orchestration simple, multiregion coverage addressed regulatory needs, and flexible billing plus platform performance delivered about a 25% improvement in price/performance — giving Logflare scale, reliability and customer peace of mind.
