LINE GO Maximizing the convenience of ride-hailing services with Google Maps Platform

LINE GO is Taiwan’s only ride-hailing company operating through LINE, and it needed more localized, accurate geolocation features to improve ride planning, fare calculation, and driver dispatch efficiency. To build a smoother experience for passengers and drivers, LINE GO turned to Google Cloud Platform’s Google Maps Platform and worked with partner Master Concept.

Google Cloud Platform helped LINE GO implement the Distance Matrix API, Places API, and Directions API to power more accurate ETAs, quick location search, and precalculated fares. The results included 20% better ETA accuracy, a 30% drop in driver complaints about inaccurate pre-calculated rates, and resolution of 90% of dispatch issues caused by poor ETA calculations, improving both user trust and operational efficiency.
