Lewolang is a Spanish ed‑tech startup (launched 2018) that offers a subscription app to help Spanish speakers practice spoken English and pronunciation. Faced with unknown demand and limited resources, the company needed a scalable, cost‑effective infrastructure—on‑premises servers couldn’t handle peak traffic or the risk of early growth.

Lewolang worked with Google Cloud partner Nubalia to deploy on Google Cloud Platform using autoscaling Compute Engine instances, Cloud SQL, Cloud Storage and Load Balancing, with per‑minute pricing and encryption‑at‑rest. The result: automatic, fast scaling that supports organic growth, lower costs through granular billing, strong built‑in security, and a platform ready for future features like the Cloud Speech API and mobile endpoints.
