A Google Cloud Platform Case Study

Preview of the Leadpages Case Study

Leadpages Evolving its lead-generation tools

Leadpages, founded in 2012, helps marketers build high-converting landing pages and today supports tens of thousands of customers (about 50,000 businesses). As its data needs grew—ingesting roughly 100 GB weekly and analyzing billions of data points to power benchmarks, analytics and conversion-driven features—the company faced security, reliability and scaling challenges and wanted to speed development without hiring a large DevOps team.

By building on Google Cloud Platform (App Engine, Cloud Storage, Compute Engine, Google Kubernetes Engine, Datastore and Firebase), Leadpages launched faster, cut infrastructure costs and reduced IT overhead (early App Engine costs were under a quarter of alternatives) while deploying more than 40 microservices on a single cluster. The move improved performance and reliability—page load speed rose by up to 56%—and enabled richer, data‑driven analytics and A/B testing at scale while keeping costs largely flat as usage grows.
