A Google Cloud Platform Case Study
LANSA, a software maker founded in 1987, wanted to bring its Product Information Management software to the cloud with an affordable SaaS version of SyncManager, but needed a platform that wouldn’t force it into the infrastructure business or drive up costs. The company turned to Google Cloud Platform, using App Engine and Compute Engine to build a low-cost, scalable cloud-first product for small and midsize businesses.
With Google Cloud Platform, LANSA rebuilt SyncManager as a SaaS offering that launched in June 2015 and quickly gained 820 customers in four months. Google Cloud Platform delivered automatic scaling, linear performance for more than 130 million product entities, and significantly lower costs than a build-your-own option, helping LANSA create a new line of business with strong adoption and growth.
