Case Study: Kronoshop achieves rapid ecommerce innovation and cost-effective scaling with Google Cloud Platform

A Google Cloud Platform Case Study

Preview of the Kronoshop Case Study

Kronoshop Breaking new ground without breaking the bank

Kronoshop is an Italian online retailer specializing in watches and jewelry, offering over 15,000 items and attracting about 2 million visits a year. As a fast-growing startup, it needed an infrastructure that supported rapid experimentation and scaling without large upfront hardware costs, while also enabling fast time-to-market and reliable performance during traffic spikes.

Working with Google Partner ICOA, Kronoshop built its ecommerce stack on Google Cloud Platform—using Google Compute Engine for scalable instances, Stackdriver for monitoring, and pay-as-you-go storage options like Coldline for disaster recovery. The result: low financial exposure during experimentation, rapid iteration and deployment (publishing up to three ecommerce platforms a week), detailed feature tracking, and a successful platform that led to acquisition by Morellato Group and reuse across its brands.
