A Google Cloud Platform Case Study
Kolide is a U.S.-based startup that delivers device visibility and security insights through Kolide Cloud and the open-source Kolide Fleet. Facing the need to bring products to market quickly while keeping a small engineering team focused on software development, Kolide chose Kubernetes for orchestration and sought a managed, production-ready cloud environment to avoid heavy ops overhead.
By joining Google Cloud for Startups and running on Google Kubernetes Engine, Kolide automated cluster management and adopted GCP services like Cloud SQL, Cloud Pub/Sub, Cloud IAM and KMS, and G Suite device association. The move accelerated time to market (up to 5x faster), improved security and compliance, made it easy to stay current with Kubernetes features, and simplified integration with other Google Cloud services.
