Kiwigrid Optimizing the green energy experience with an IoT platform powered by Google Cloud

Kiwigrid, a Germany-based IoT energy service platform provider, wanted to scale its business beyond physical servers and remove bottlenecks in its development process as it expanded into new markets. To support its connected energy and mobility platform, Kiwigrid turned to Google Cloud Platform, including Google Kubernetes Engine and other Google Cloud services.

Google Cloud Platform helped Kiwigrid move to a more scalable, managed cloud setup with fast cluster creation, autoscaling, and hybrid cloud capabilities. As a result, Kiwigrid reduced maintenance and unplanned downtime to near zero, eliminated pre-production bottlenecks, cut release times from five to seven days to just hours, and could spin up new Kubernetes clusters in about three minutes.
