A Google Cloud Platform Case Study
Kia, a global automotive manufacturer selling vehicles in 172 countries, needed to modernize its sales and customer experience as buyers increasingly researched and purchased cars online. To support its digital transformation and move toward mobility services, electrification, connectivity, and autonomy, Kia turned to Google Cloud Platform, including Google Workspace and Google Cloud AI and machine learning services.
Google Cloud Platform helped Kia launch the Live Stream Showroom, a virtual dealership experience built on Google Meet and Google Forms, and later enhanced it with scheduling and CRM integrations. The service expanded from a few countries to 45 markets across Africa, the Middle East, Asia-Pacific, and Europe, helping Kia deliver safer, more convenient online consultations and better support new car sales. Google Cloud Platform also supported an AI-powered owners’ manual app that reduced information-delivery costs, improved deployment speed, and won the Grand Prize in its category.
