KASIKORN Business - Technology Group (KBTG), the IT enabler for KBank in Thailand, needed a scalable way to build a new budgeting mobile app for younger Thais while supporting its broader digital banking transformation. Using Google Cloud Platform and the cloud-native MAKE app stack, KBTG wanted to accelerate innovation, simplify development across iOS and Android, and meet growing user demand without relying on on-premises infrastructure.

Google Cloud Platform helped KBTG launch and scale MAKE with services such as Flutter, Firebase A/B Testing, Firebase Cloud Messaging, Google Kubernetes Engine, Service Mesh, Cloud SQL, Cloud Build, and Cloud Deploy. The app reached 1 million total users and 500,000 monthly active users, shortened development cycles from months to weeks, recorded no downtime caused by cloud infrastructure, and earned a 4.8/5 average rating on the app store.
