Kao Simplifying the business of beauty with APIs

Kao, a global beauty manufacturer and distributor, needed a better way to manage digital transformation across regions while simplifying interactions with its Japan-based corporate teams. Using Google Cloud Platform’s Apigee API Platform, Kao set out to improve ecommerce, supply chain coordination, and customer experience across B2B and B2C channels.

The results included handling more than 100,000 API calls per day, reducing development time by 90% from 40 weeks to 4 weeks, and speeding integration through reusable APIs while improving visibility, agility, and customer satisfaction.
