A Google Cloud Platform Case Study
Jobtome is a Switzerland‑based job search engine founded in 2012 that serves more than 10 million active users across 34 countries and about 500,000 daily unique visitors. Rapid growth put pressure on its physical infrastructure: servers were slow to scale, distant users experienced high latency, and resource constraints hindered development and availability.
Working with Noovle, Jobtome migrated all 34 domains to Google Cloud Platform (Compute Engine, Cloud SQL, BigQuery, Cloud Load Balancing, Cloud Storage and Stackdriver), enabling globally distributed processing and VMs provisioned in seconds. The move halved mobile first‑frame display time (a 100% mobile display speed improvement), reduced latency worldwide, lowered bounce rates and increased subscriptions and pages per visit — while shortening scaling times and freeing the team to focus on development and research.
