JB Cocoa Enabling traceability to achieve ESG commitments

JB Cocoa, a major cocoa ingredients producer with operations across Malaysia and other regions, needed better traceability, sustainability reporting, and visibility across its business. Its legacy ERP system created data silos, limited scalability, and made it difficult to monitor performance and respond quickly to customer audits and compliance needs, so the company turned to Google Cloud Platform with SAP on Google Cloud.

Google Cloud Platform, implemented with support from Deloitte, replaced JB Cocoa’s legacy ERP with SAP S/4HANA on Google Cloud to centralize sales, logistics, and supply chain data. The solution improved batch traceability, enabled real-time intercompany transaction tracking, and cut product costing time from 3 days to 4 hours, while also reducing downtime for hardware changes to under 15 minutes and strengthening financial transparency and ESG goals.
