A Google Cloud Platform Case Study
IntegraGen, a France-based life sciences company, decodes human genomes to deliver actionable genomic insights for researchers, clinicians and labs. Faced with growing volumes of sequencing data and on‑premises infrastructure limits, the company needed faster, scalable analysis that could support clinical decision timelines and reduce operational burden.
Working with Google Cloud Partner SFEIR, IntegraGen rebuilt its analytics on Google Cloud Platform using Google Kubernetes Engine, BigQuery, Cloud Dataflow, local SSDs and preemptible VMs to create the MERCURY SaaS pipeline. The cloud solution halved processing time (from 16 to 8 hours), enabled massive parallel analyses with auto‑scaling, lowered infrastructure costs, supported rapid innovation and global rollout (including U.S. HIPAA compliance), and led to a second product, SIRIUS, built on GCP.
