Case Study: Innovela achieves rapid MVP launch and scalable 3D visualization with Google Cloud Platform

Innovela Building an award-winning solution for surveying, construction, and beyond

Innovela, a French digital solutions provider and Google partner, was tasked by e-Cassini with building a collaborative 3D visualization platform to digitize public spaces and replace slow, manual surveying workflows. The challenge was to handle billions of geospatial data files while delivering a precise, easy-to-use application that could run on any device. Google Cloud Platform was used with services including Google App Engine, Compute Engine, and Cloud Storage.

Google Cloud Platform enabled Innovela to create a secure data-uploading and processing pipeline, stream complex 3D maps efficiently, and scale without upfront infrastructure costs. The minimum viable product was developed in just three months, and the system can model about 100 million points in one hour. The platform’s success helped e-Cassini expand its use cases beyond surveyors, and it went on to win an innovation prize at CES 2019.
