IEPC Guerrero drives the development of secure systems thanks to Google Cloud and Xertica

IEPC Guerrero, the Institute in charge of election-related services in Guerrero, needed a more reliable and flexible cloud infrastructure to support major projects like PREP, its preliminary election results program. Using Google Cloud Platform services, including Compute Engine, Filestore, Cloud DNS, and Cloud SQL, it aimed to centralize data, improve interconnection across sites, and speed up project delivery.

Google Cloud Platform implemented a cloud-based architecture that enabled dynamic resource management, sandbox testing, and stronger security controls. As a result, IEPC Guerrero had no service downtime, reduced website RTT from 84 ms to 49 ms, and improved availability, management, and delivery times, helping the new PREP launch successfully for the September 2021 elections.
