ICA Sweden Achieving data-driven grocery experiences through the cloud

ICA Sweden, the largest grocer in Sweden with more than 1,300 stores, needed to modernize its analytics and data warehouse environment to support more agile, personalized, and data-driven operations. Working with Google Cloud Platform and partner Forefront Consulting, the company sought to replace siloed on-premises systems and better serve both customers and independent store owners.

Google Cloud Platform helped ICA Sweden migrate its data warehouse to BigQuery and build a modern analytics pipeline with improved governance, self-service access, and support for machine learning exploration. The result was more flexible IT, faster development and time to market, de-siloed data, and stronger collaboration across teams, enabling better customer insights and more efficient operations across ICA Sweden’s 1,300 stores.
