How tech startup DASH scaled its offerings by more than 300% with Google

DASH, the tech accelerator of The Works in the Netherlands, needed a cloud platform that could keep up with rapidly growing demand while supporting a shift from a monolithic IT setup to a more scalable, microservices-based architecture. Its existing provider made it difficult and expensive to expand features, process more data, and launch new applications efficiently, so DASH turned to Google Cloud Platform for help.

Google Cloud Platform implemented a modern infrastructure centered on Google Kubernetes Engine, along with Google Workspace, Firebase, Cloud SQL, BigQuery, Looker Studio, and Cloud Monitoring. The result was significant: DASH grew from 20 applications to 70 in production on GKE, kept costs flat, and helped The Works increase revenue from $203 million to $603 million in four years. Google Cloud Platform also improved security, resilience, and operational efficiency, allowing DASH to scale with a smaller team.
