HOPI Turning more points into purchases with an infrastructure that delivers on performance

Hopi, a Turkey-based mobile retail and loyalty platform serving more than 7.5 million users, needed a secure, stable, and scalable way to keep its app running 24/7 while handling frequent traffic spikes and large volumes of personalized campaign data. Working with Google Cloud Platform and implementation partner Kartaca, Hopi sought to replace an unreliable hosting environment and improve performance for its customer loyalty app.

Google Cloud Platform helped Hopi migrate to a microservices-based architecture on Google Kubernetes Engine and Compute Engine, with Cloud SQL, Pub/Sub, BigQuery, Cloud Bigtable, and Dataflow supporting app events and analytics. The results included 75% faster deployment times, 25% lower hardware costs, and a major improvement in data processing, with queries that once took hours now running in minutes; Google Cloud Platform also enabled better uptime and eliminated the downtime issues that had previously affected customers.
