honestbee is an Asia‑focused online concierge and delivery service that launched in Singapore in 2015 to become the region’s largest and most convenient online supermarket. The company needed a robust mapping platform to improve dispatcher and driver efficiency, automate order batching, enable easy mobile ordering, and provide a foundation to expand into other delivery services such as laundry pickup and delivery.

honestbee built its dispatching and mobile apps on Google Maps Platform — using the Distance Matrix API for an automated batching engine, the Maps JavaScript API for dispatcher tools, and the Maps SDKs for Android and iOS for customer apps. The solution sped development and time to market, improved operations, and helped honestbee launch grocery delivery in four cities (now serving eight), scale to 2,300 delivery “bees,” and save customers an average of three hours per week.
