A Google Cloud Platform Case Study
Hoff, Russia’s leading furniture and household hypermarket chain with 25 stores and a website drawing over 12 million unique visitors a year, needed to link online activity to offline sales and improve its marketing attribution. The company couldn’t connect site visits and paid advertising to in-store purchases, so it sought an end-to-end analytics solution to measure campaign effectiveness and automate PPC bidding.
Partnering with OWOX, Hoff built a data pipeline on Google Cloud Platform (BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Compute Engine) to centralize data, run user-centric attribution models and automate bid adjustments. The solution delivered a 17% increase in online advertising ROI, revealed more effective keywords to drive sales, reduced DevOps/IT overhead, and paved the way for further optimization using GCP machine-learning APIs.
