HITS Switzerland Boosting innovation in the insurance industry with Google Cloud

HITS Switzerland, the House of InsurTech hub for the insurance sector, needed a highly scalable environment to help startups and corporates innovate faster and move beyond traditional IT limits. Working with Google Cloud Platform and using services such as Google Kubernetes Engine, Cloud Build, Container Registry, and Cloud Source Repositories, HITS built its Cloud Based InsurTech Sandbox to support rapid testing and development.

Google Cloud Platform enabled HITS Switzerland to scale on demand, provide each startup with a tailored environment, and run around four times the previous workload in parallel. The impact was significant: time to minimum viable product dropped from six months to three, and the ecosystem expanded from 10 to about 60 startups in the first year, helping HITS accelerate innovation across the insurance industry.
