Case Study: IntegraGen achieves faster genomic analysis with Looker

Helping to uncover the secrets of the human genome with Google Cloud

IntegraGen, a France-based healthcare and life sciences company that decodes the human genome, needed a way to scale its genomic analytics beyond the limits of its on-premises infrastructure. As it developed its MERCURY SaaS tool, IntegraGen turned to Looker on Google Cloud to help researchers and clinicians interpret complex sequencing data faster and more efficiently.

Looker, implemented with Google Cloud services and supported by SFEIR, helped IntegraGen build a highly scalable, auto-scaling analytics platform using tools like BigQuery, Cloud Dataflow, and Google Kubernetes Engine. The solution reduced processing time from more than sixteen hours to eight hours, lowered infrastructure and operational costs, and enabled IntegraGen to launch MERCURY in Europe and later the United States with greater agility and parallel processing capacity.
