Harnessing the power of Vision AI for faster, more efficient content creation

Sport Singapore, a statutory board under Singapore’s Ministry of Culture, Community, and Youth, needed a better way to manage a growing archive of sports photos and make them easier to find and share. Its old, manual process for sorting and tagging images was time-consuming, with nearly 1,000 man-hours spent organizing photos, and it limited how many volunteers could contribute. Sport Singapore turned to Looker Studio for reporting, alongside Google Cloud Vision AI for image handling.

Looker helped Sport Singapore support a solution built around automated photo tagging and categorization, allowing contributors to upload photos from anywhere while AI identified faces, logos, colors, and other details. The result was faster photo rollout, easier searching, greater staff productivity, and broader volunteer participation. Sport Singapore also saved 1,000 man-hours by switching to automated tagging, while improving engagement among Singaporeans.
