GroupNexus, a parking management innovator, needed a more scalable, secure, and compliant way to run its serverless, IoT-enabled platform as it expanded its DevOps and infrastructure-as-code strategy. Working with Google Cloud Platform and its Google Cloud-managed services, including Cloud Functions and Google Cloud Run, the company aimed to reduce infrastructure complexity and build a future-proof foundation for its services.

Google Cloud Platform helped GroupNexus implement a fully serverless architecture using Cloud Functions, Cloud Run, Firestore, Firebase, API Gateway, Pub/Sub, BigQuery, Cloud Load Balancing, Memorystore, Cloud Storage, and Translation API. The results were strong: uptime improved from 99% to nearly 99.99%, response times dropped from several seconds to under two seconds, and operating costs fell as the company no longer needed a 15-person team to manage infrastructure. GroupNexus also gained the ability to scale to 15 million API events per day and deploy localized platforms quickly across regions.
