A Google Cloud Platform Case Study

Preview of the Genero Case Study

Genero Disrupting video production by connecting brands with creative teams on Google Cloud

Genero, a creative platform for connecting brands with global creators, faced growing demand that strained its legacy monolithic backend and made it hard to scale, deploy updates quickly, and handle traffic spikes. Using Google Cloud Platform services such as Google Kubernetes Engine and Cloud Build, Genero modernized its platform to support faster collaboration and more efficient video production.

With Google Cloud Platform, Genero moved to a microservices architecture and automated scaling, testing, and deployment. The results included saving 10–20 hours per month in server provisioning, cutting video transcoding from 5–30 minutes to 5–30 seconds, speeding up uploads worldwide, and improving feature delivery and site performance.
