Financial Services Agency of the Japanese Government: Achieving more effective work-flow by eliminating mundane, laborious tasks

The Financial Services Agency (FSA) needed a better way to schedule council meetings and reduce the heavy manual effort involved in coordinating dates and maintaining its web scheduling application. Using Google Cloud Platform, including services such as Cloud Armor and Cloud Identity, FSA moved the application to the cloud to improve security while simplifying scheduling operations.

Google Cloud Platform helped FSA build and run a fully managed scheduling app that was operational by December 2021. The result was a major efficiency gain: staff time spent creating schedule sheets dropped from one to two hours to almost zero, while meeting coordination became faster and easier through a simple smartphone-friendly interface. The agency also reported stronger security support and recognition for improving operational efficiency.
