FD Media Group Building a data platform that respects user privacy and delivers business value

FD Media Group, the leading business information company in the Netherlands, needed to adapt to privacy changes and the decline of third-party cookies by shifting to first-party data. Working with Google Cloud Platform and implementation partner Crystalloids, it set out to build a new customer data platform that could better support marketing, sales, and editorial use cases.

Google Cloud Platform helped FD Media Group launch the platform in a matter of months using services including BigQuery, Dataflow, Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub, Cloud Composer, and Looker Studio. The solution centralized customer data, enabled self-service analytics, improved data-driven targeting and retention, and supported a switch from third-party to first-party data while preserving privacy and scalability.
