Fans come on stage in Azealia Banks’ new interactive video, built on Google Cloud Platform

COLLINS, a New York City-based brand consultancy, wanted to create a first-of-its-kind interactive music video for Azealia Banks that would let fans feel like they were on stage with her. To make that happen, the team needed a way to build a highly innovative experience quickly with a very small development team while handling real-time interaction, high-resolution video, and scalable delivery.

Using Google Cloud Platform, including Google App Engine and Google Cloud Storage, COLLINS built the app in just two months. Google Cloud Platform let the team focus on design and interactivity instead of infrastructure, test locally, deploy quickly, and scale for Azealia’s large fan base; Cloud Storage also supported high-quality media delivery, including users consuming up to 300 MB of bandwidth, enabling a responsive, real-time video experience.
