E.ON, the international energy supplier based in Germany, wanted to bring its in-house asset management software, E.ON Optimum, to market and provide business customers with better energy insights. To do that, E.ON needed a highly scalable, reliable cloud-based solution and turned to Looker as part of its data and analytics stack to help deliver self-service insights and support its digital transformation.

Looker helped E.ON scale the Optimum platform for third-party use, enabling automated data insights for energy managers and reducing internal operational burden. With the new solution, E.ON expanded the service globally to 10,000 business customers, improved system availability to more than 99.9%, and accelerated delivery of new features while helping customers reduce energy costs and CO2 emissions.
