Digital Mobility Solutions/PickMe Hails Google Cloud for increased agility, availability, and scalability

PickMe, a Sri Lankan ride-hailing and mobility startup operated by Digital Mobility Solutions, needed a more reliable and scalable infrastructure to handle peak-demand downtime, slow deployments, and rapid growth. Working with Google Cloud Platform, the company also built on its existing use of Google Maps Platform and Google Workspace to support its app-based taxi, food, and logistics services.

Google Cloud Platform, with help from Searce and Google Cloud Professional Services, migrated PickMe to a cloud architecture using services like Compute Engine, Cloud SQL, Cloud Datastore, Cloud CDN, and Cloud Load Balancing. The result was about 99.95% availability, lower latency, and the ability to support 2X ride growth, while cutting testing, staging, and production deployment time from three days to half a day.
